Best Practices for Nonprofit Organizers
In order to maximize the benefits of our program, we recommend the following to help get listings and to help rent them. We’ll build on this list of "best practices" as our program evolves.
Communications to Generous Vacation Property Owners
Encourage your existing donors, supporters and volunteers to investigate your private label vacation rental website powered by Geronimo! Encourage them to list their vacation rental property or to book vacations at homes posted by other donors. The more owners that specify YOUR nonprofit when configuring their donation preferences, the better the chances of vacationers helping your nonprofit organization. Here are some key talking points when communicating with prospective vacation property owners:

Without a doubt, your current donors often rent vacation homes, so why not encourage them to book their next vacation in a way that directly benefits your nonprofit? Tell them to visit your private label vacation rental website (powered by Geronimo). Here are some key talking points that you can share with your community:

Communications to Local Businesses
Encourage corporate partners to provide valuable gifts and incentives that you will use to encourage owners to list their properties. Here’s an example of a note you might send to corporate partners:
"Thanks for your support of our nonprofit, we'd like to extend a special offer to you: Give us something of reasonable value that we can use to reward owners for donating time at their vacation homes. In return, we’ll highlight your business on our vacation rental website. We’ll provide a clickable link that will take website viewers to your company's website if applicable."
Note: The special offer should be something of value that is not found elsewhere and no purchase necessary (only those giving us thousands of dollars worth of vacation rental time will receive these incentives). Examples – Tickets to a special sport event, music event, chance to meet a celebrity, prepaid airfare, dinner for two at exclusive restaurant, etc.
We will provide you with an easy way to promote these incentives from your password controlled nonprofit interface. These offers will appear automatically on your private label website once you type them in. Example- "OWNERS- List your property today and donate at least one spare week to help <fill in nonprofit name> and you’ll be entered into a drawing to win a trip for two to Italy provided by <XYZ> Airlines"
